Description
The Sr. Director of Product Delivery is responsible for oversight of product delivery, software integration, development of internal software, and the adaptation of commercial off-the-shelf products and services.  Additionally, this role is providing senior level leadership to technology colleagues.  This leader is responsible for delivering technology capabilities to our internal and external customers and ensuring those capabilities provide the promised value.  
 
The Sr. Director of Product Delivery will work with the Chief Technology Officer to identify and meet Technology demands in collaboration with Operations, Marketing, Smile Lab, and Corporate departments.  The director will collaborate with stakeholders and articulate the business need and work with Technology to determine what delivery capabilities meets the need. 
 
The director will be agile and flexible working internally and externally with key partners.  This leader will earn credibility internally and externally by possessing a keen sense of the business needs, technology capabilities, strategic direction, and competitive landscape.  The leader will be a strategic thought partner with Senior Leadership who thrives on innovation and change and will help drive the business to new levels of excellence.  The leader must have experience with how to use metrics, statistics and other measurement tools to oversee technical product performance to ensure that desired product performance goals are being achieved. 
 
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Drive growth through design and implementation of new products, services, and capabilities
  • Work with the CTO and CMO to guide the technology product roadmap as necessary ensuring business goals are met
  • Continuously improve products by driving product design enhancements, performing operational improvements, and collaborating within the Technology department to implement technology improvements
  • Participate in discovery and research activities to review new potential products and services
  • Work with the CTO to evaluate technology trends and determine the best way to capitalize on them
  • Work to build a high-performing technical team and ensure recruiting, training, rewards, and professional development programs are in place to attract and retain top talent

General Experience:
  • 8 – 12 years in technology management, product development, or technical management related roles
  • A candidate with a bachelor’s degree is required, and a candidate with an M.B.A. or an advanced degree is a plus
  • Experience in launching products, services, and capabilities that have contributed significantly to a company
  • Excellent skills in complex problem solving, project management and change management
  • Experience successfully interfacing and managing with software engineering teams
  • Experience delivering products and services for multiple external healthcare stakeholders to include payers, consumers, patients, and providers is a plus
  • Experience in operationalization of products including call center operations experience is a plus
  • Must be willing to travel as required
 
Technical Experience:
  • Experience in the design and development of sophisticated, modern web applications and services
  • Experience with agile development processes
  • Understanding of development operations processes
  • Understanding of relational database structures and fundamentals
  • Programming experience in a modern software development language is a plus
