The VP of Supply Chain will lead all supply chain functions, including: sourcing & procurement, inventory management, demand/supply planning, order management, distribution & logistics for all product categories.

Responsibilities:

• Develop SmileDirectClub’s supply chain to meet growth and financial objectives through effective forecasting, demand/supply planning, procurement, inventory management and distribution and logistics.
• Lead, facilitate, and drive a proactive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to create an integrated demand/supply plan that supports Company’s business objectives.
• Utilize a variety of analytical and statistical forecasting methods to drive an optimum demand plan and implement systems to create a robust demand/supply process that meets customer fulfillment expectations.
• Establish order management practices and processes that allow SDC to deliver a perfect order every time.
• Develop and lead all efforts in sourcing and procurement.
• Continuously analyze supply sources and identify, prioritize and execute action plans to drive opportunities for improved cost, quality and delivery
• Lead supplier identification, approval, contract/pricing negotiations and vendor relations.
• Develop and implement effective distribution and logistics strategies required to support growth in all business channels (direct to consumer and retail).
• Implement inventory processes and control systems throughout the supply chain.

It will really make us smile if you have…

• 10-15 years of supply chain management experience in progressively senior positions, operations experience an asset.
• A minimum of a BS/BA degree in a relevant field. MBA or MS in Supply Chain preferred.
• Experience in both direct to consumer and retail channels.
• Strong analytical, financial & P&L skills
• Experience in multiple supply chain/processes, methodologies and technologies such as ERP, JIT, S&OP, and Lean.
• Professional Certifications in Operations, Purchasing or Logistics a plus.
• In depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics processes & current best practices.
• Experience in lean principles and application across the supply chain.
• Must have the ability to interact and execute at all the highest levels of the company.
• Strong purchasing, negotiation, planning & materials knowledge. 
• Ability to drive projects to a successful completion.
• Demonstrated track record supporting new product introduction across channels (for all aspects of the supply chain).
• Proven experience in hiring, coaching and leading a high performing team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Project management skills to deliver business unit and company objectives on time and under budget.
• Ability to adapt and operate in a changing environment.
• Experience in negotiation of contracts and agreements.
• Excellent analytical and organization skills.
