The Assistant Manager will be responsible for the second shift operations, employees, and facility.  He/she will be a leader with a strong business mindset and should be apt in organizing and problem solving.  He/she will be the single point of contact for the operations during the second shift and will be responsible for hourly staff, payroll, and HR issues that may arise.

Job requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from accredited college/university

• Proven experience as assistant manager or similar position

• Experience in performance evaluation

• Proficient user of MS Office programs

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to take ownership and responsibility of projects with minimal supervision

• Problem solver and takes initiative in resolving issues

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing the necessary controls and measurements to ensure cost effective manufacturing operations that obtain objectives in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Customer Satisfaction

• Coordinate production operations and manufacturing needs

• Supervise and motivate staff

• Monitor operating cost, budgets, and resources

• Communicate with customer service and evaluate their needs and specifications

• Create reports, analyze and interpret data

• Ensure quality standards are met through testing products as necessary, identifying root cause for any defects, and implementing action plans to remove manufacturing deficiencies

• Create and organize SOP’s, internal knowledge base and other resources to help the production team respond to issues more efficiently

• Drive training and L&D to employees

• Continually challenges the organization to review waste, reduce costs and improve productivity.

• Champion employee engagement to drive improvements in safety performance, plant housekeeping, training and retention.

• Ensure adherence to company’s policies and guidelines
