SmileDirectClub is looking for an experienced Senior Manager of Planning & Procurement to assess our current supplier base, identify new suppliers, develop sourcing strategies, lead negotiations, and manage purchasing for the company. This person will work with all departments, especially Marketing, Manufacturing, and Fulfillment, to optimize the cost of goods, minimize risk, and translate our ideas into beautiful products.

You Will:

• Assess supplier base and current spend
• Identify suppliers that provide new capabilities
• Onboard new suppliers and negotiate RFPs, SLAs, pricing, terms, etc.
• Measure performance and compliance
• Be responsible for developing and monitoring the inventory forecast and procurement schedule that is consistent with FP&A budgets, vendor lead times, and manufacturing levels
• Support Netsuite ERP system implementation and functions as company master user
• Interface with Marketing, Finance and Operations teams to ensure successful product launches and that scheduled delivery dates are met

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

• Possesses a high level of analytical and creative problem-solving skills to balance manufacturing requirements, inventory levels, and vendor lead times
• Detailed, analytical problem solver with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, changing environment with minimal direct supervision
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems; preferably NetSuite
• Expert knowledge of forecasting, planning, master scheduling, manufacturing, inventory and associated performance measurement systems.

How to stand out against the rest:

• 5+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience with procurement and planning
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management
• Experience with implementing an ERP system from the ground up
• Strong analytical capabilities and effective communicator to negotiate with suppliers and influence change
• Ability to work in a fast-paced detail oriented environment
• Ability to solve complex technical, financial, and business challenges
• Must be a team player, self-motivated, and possess outstanding customer-focused attitude
• Possess the ability to manage time and prioritize multiple deliverables simultaneously
• Strong skills in developing process
