The HRIS System Administrator is responsible for the data integrity, system security, maintenance, reporting, and training for all Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). The HRIS Administrator will work with all levels of the organization to evaluate, analyze, design, and maintenance of HR systems and applications. Modify the existing HRIS to meet changing demands to gather and report data and interface HR data with other systems. Identify and make system recommendations for new HRIS needs and solutions to fulfill the needs of the customer. Develops a strong working knowledge of the all HRIS systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains data integrity within HRIS systems. Serves as the point of person for maintenance of HR’s core systems/applications.
  • Improve processes to increase efficiencies as well as provide procedures and best practices for administration of data.
  • Define technical strategies to customize system and meet long-term HR business goals.
  • Manages user accounts for the various HRIS, system and business process controls, and audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide timely, accurate HRIS data entry support of all critical employee information (i.e. personnel data, employee/control numbers, compensation, relevant tax data, attendance, performance review dates and evaluations, corrective disciplinary actions, licenses and/or required medical testing data entry/renewals, etc.)
  • Assists system users with training, data entry, and troubleshoot system problems.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of system data and the internal system for value, codes, tables, business processes, supervisory organizations, security and interfaces. Maintains user tables such as job codes, department codes, training, education etc. Assist with and maintain system configurations.
  • Manage full cycle performance and merit cycle i.e. system setup, testing, distribution, reporting etc.
  • Responsible for initial triage and resolution of user case reports; troubleshooting and resolving system issues, data errors and data correction requests, completing repeatable day-to-day support activities, and working closely with more senior level analysts on the team to report findings and track user issues.
  • Awareness and protection of confidential information when working in an open work environment. Ensure HRIS data confidentiality is maintained.
  • Review and approve self-service transactions in our HRIS system. Maintain up-to-date employee file records by handling employee changes in a timely manner.
  • Create test scenarios and assist in performing tests to insure all processes work according to predetermined goals.
  • Create basic custom and ad hoc reports as well as run scheduled reports needed by the end-users.
  • Participate in special projects involving other HR functional disciplines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field and 2-3 years’ experience with hands-on HRIS experience required.
  • Ultimate Software experience required.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Complex report writing skills.
  • Specific knowledge of Self–Service, Compensation, Benefits, Performance Management, and Recruiting modules is a must.
  • Functional experience with HRIS configuration and implementations, particularly at the mapping and table levels is required.
  • Successful management of time; with adherence to pay schedules. Policy comprehension and application.
