SmileDirectClub is looking for a highly qualified, hands-on, results oriented Executive Vice President, Digital Marketing with a strong technical background.  This executive will be considered an industry leader and will draw upon his/her expertise in leveraging data to define attribution, grow acquisition, and increase personalization across nascent technologies and platforms. The Executive Vice President, Digital Marketing will be responsible for the results of our paid digital media, content partnerships, new business opportunities that make up our multi-channel profit center. They will also be responsible for directing marketing analytics and deploying strategies that grow awareness and deliver a best-in-class digital experience for SmileDirectClub's customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CMO, Marketing Manager and Creative Director to develop and implement and omnichannel paid media strategy.
  • Architect, refine and leverage marketing data stack and analytics team to make well informed, ROI driven decisions on current and future digital media efforts and provide clarity to leadership on direction and decisions daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Analyze, revise and implement real-time spend decisions based upon platform efficiencies and their impact on lead and sales goals.
  • Consistently drive and deliver sales results to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Optimize conversion through the creation and execution of multivariate or a/b tests across acquisition channels and website.
  • Search out new and emerging channels to find current customers as well as explore existing and overlooked channels to attract new customers.
  • Maintain continuous knowledge and status on all initiatives, identifying and quickly resolving any obstacles, pivots to spend, and capitalizing on opportunities in real time.
  • Research and identify opportunities and emerging digital trends and devise strategies to augment digital engagement.
  • Create a digital presence that provides a big picture view of how social and digital technologies are essential to differentiate the entire organization.
  • Bridge the gap between “strategic ideas” and “tactical initiatives."
  • Hire and develop a team of digital thought leaders who focus on the “why” and “if not, how.”

The Executive Vice President, Digital Marketing will be a player/coach, seasoned and strategic marketing executive with proven experience in consumer driven organizations where marketing drives revenue and brand loyalty. Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.

It will really make us smile if you have…

  • 10+ years of online/digital advertising, statistical analysis, segmentation, predictive modeling, consulting and forecasting.
  • Strong background and relevant experience launching, managing and reporting on SEM, SEO, Paid Social, Programmatic TV, Display and Social.
  • Experience implementing, running and reading attribution models in omnichannel environment that drives insight and efficiency across different layers of decision points: from media mix modeling, to multi-touch attribution to spot attribution.
  • Background in direct response advertising, location-based advertising and managing digital budgets in excess of $50 MM.
  • Ability to drive innovative and integrated marketing ideas across a full spectrum of digital mediums and up to date knowledge of a variety of new consumer technology and media trends.
  • Strong background in analytics and working with data scientists and engineers to pull the insights needed to analyze, grow and lead digital.
  • Experience working with CRM tools (preferably Salesforce), data visualization tools, PI and data feeds.
  • Track record of managing multiple projects with a demonstrated ability to prioritize efforts based on ROI to the business.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional teams that may include design, information systems, customer service, marketing and operations.
  • Ability to quickly identify and understand broader business issues, as well as the immediate business urgencies that help shape the direction of marketing initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills - must be able to articulate a clear vision through speeches and presentations with senior management. Also, must be able to communicate complex information in writing through detailed project plans and business cases.
  • Proven experience in persuading others through the use of strong logic and compelling data.
  • Ability to consult on the business needs and the strategies or tactics for utilizing a digital channel to deliver quantifiable business results.
  • Excellent leadership and team building/management skills; ability to provide clear and concise direction/feedback to external and internal stakeholders as well as the ability to influence others.
