Description

The Human Resources Director is responsible for managing all people support efforts; including, employee relations, payroll, onboarding, and hiring processes.

 

Responsabilities

  • Responsible for directing employee relations matters in alignment with Costa Rica labor law and Company’s policies.
  • Provide expertise in the interpretation of employment law, company policy as well as company ethical standards.
  • Lead all efforts related to recruitment, providing oversight in candidate selection and onboarding.
  • Provide guidance and management of all payroll and benefit processes, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and compliance with labor laws
  • Partner with internal business leaders to set establish strategy for staffing and human capital management.
  • Develop and maintain employee handbook, policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to members of the Human Resources team, including Recruiters and Generalists.
  • Work with internal business leaders to develop job descriptions, pay bands, compensation guidelines, performance management processes and attendance monitoring plans.
  • Maintain robust knowledge of Costa Rican legal issues, as well as external relationships with key players in the human resources and service center industry in Costa Rica

Qualifications & Experience

  • BA/BS Degree required; Master's degree highly desired
  • +8 years’ of progressive experience in human resource roles, including senior level management
  • Experience in shared service or call center highly desired
  • Experience in medium to large growth-oriented organizations highly desired
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with employment law in Costa Rica
  • Ability to influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization, change thinking, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations without damaging relationships
  • Strong background and proven ability to craft and analyze data to influence decision-making
  • Highly-effective communication skills - written, verbal and listening skills
  • High degree of English fluency
