The System Engineer will join our enterprise infrastructure team to provide reliable, highly available systems for our rapidly growing business needs. This position will design solutions within industry best practices and serve as the subject matter expert for assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a reliable, scalable, virtual technology platform to deliver desktops, applications, and data in a secure manner to users
• Handles problems that the helpdesk support cannot resolve to ensure the problem is corrected within a satisfactory timeframe.
• Enhancing and resolving performance issues associated with the enterprise infrastructure
• Ensuring architecture is in compliance with all IT controls related to area of responsibilities.
• Proactively manage the VDI infrastructure to minimize business disruption and drive initiatives to improve the quality and effectiveness.
• Implement, manage, and support XenDesktop, XenApp, and Appsense profiles
• Provide guidance to change management related to Citrix infrastructure
• Deploy and support Citrix client endpoints.
• Administration of systems: VMware, XenServer, Windows (2012, 2016), Linux (Ubuntu1404, CentOS7)
• Monitoring systems to ensure system availability
• Create and maintain technical and process documentation to ensure efficient and consistent deployment and support of systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation

It will really make us smile if you have…

• 5+ years of demonstrated expert-level System Administration experience supporting critical production infrastructure.
• Exceptional knowledge in Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp
• Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory, including Group Policy creation and management.
• Expert skills in administration of Windows.
• Moderate skills in Linux administration.
• Moderate skills in monitoring systems (CheckMK, Nagios, Cacti, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc)
• Moderate skills in storage administration (SAN, NAS, NFS, CIFS, iSCSI)
• Well-rounded knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, VLAN, Routing, Firewalls, etc.)
• Solid scripting skills (e.g. shell scripting, Perl, Python, Powershell)
