SmileDirectClub is hiring infrastructure engineers to help create and maintain the technology platform for an innovative B2C startup.  We are looking for bright, ambitious, and highly capable people that can thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment while working with advanced technologies.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Maintain an understanding of general internet connectivity and related dependencies for the corporate network (DHCP, DNS, IP Routing, HTTP, VOIP, VPN) 

• Configure and setup Cisco firewall security appliances as it relates to vital business applications 

• Configure and tune IPS platforms such as Cisco Firepower

• Design, setup and configure complex switching environments utilizing Cisco 3850, 4331, 4451 and IOS systems  

• Design, setup and configure complex wireless networking utilization EAP authentication methods including EAP-TLS and Radius based authentication 

• Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking (Rapid PVST, Multi-Chassis EtherChannel, VPC, VRF lite, spanning-tree, trunking, etc...) 

• Maintain a thorough understanding of IP routing design across multi-location network using dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of IWAN, DMVPN, PfR

• Assist in the design of multi-server ESX environments including IP address schemes, DNS, virtual networking 

• Maintaining multi-site network operations and software applications, IOS operating systems and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities 

• Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives 

• Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors etc. to provide technical assistance and support of network related functions and availability 

• Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team

• Eagerness to tackle problems outside your core competencies and learn new technologies as required

Experience:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems or demonstrated industry hands-on experience

• Minimum 6 years of hands on experience with implementing and maintaining networks in a corporate environment.

• Experience in supporting server and network environments for modern web applications and services

• Experience designing, implementing and maintaining wide area network topology types and network redundancy methods

• Experience with virtualization technologies

• Ability to build and monitor services on production servers

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Familiarity with load balancing and firewalls
