Our Quality/Compliance Team Captain leads and encourages a team of 30+ people.  He/She will be responsible for time keeping, scheduling, and team building while reporting to the QC Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Work daily with managers and production supervisors to efficiently meet the needs of internal and external customers
  • Communicate with customer service, fulfillment and production on any Quality issues
  • Address shortages to purchasing and communicate to operations and management
  • Perform timekeeping functions daily for hourly personnel and assist with vacation scheduling.
  • Scheduling inspection resources to meet operational needs for assigned personnel.
  • Coordinate and perform functions of layered, internal, and regulatory audits
  • Educating new inspectors on inspection criteria and techniques.
  • Ensure assigned personnel are properly recording data.
  • Enter shift data into daily tracker.
  • Oversee and monitors the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Recommends changes in specifications of materials, parts, and products based on inspection results.
  • Assist the Quality Manager with revising work instructions as necessary.
  • Monitor and prepare complete and accurate daily inspections report as directed.
  • Review discrepancies with appropriate parties.
  • Observe basic safety measures in the work place.
  • Assist with CAPA investigations.
  • Assist with training needs/requirements as directed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

It will really make us smile if you have…

  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or 2-5 Years of experience in a quality/manufacturing leadership role
  • Experience in medical/dental industry preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft suite, especially in Excel to create and manage spreadsheets
