Description

SmileDirectClub is looking for a Marketing Analyst to analyze data across marketing channels to provide deep organizational insights for improving marketing effectiveness, supporting customer centricity and defining our analytics strategy. We are looking for someone to be the analytical firepower that drives our growing business. The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, measuring, and reporting digital metrics, as well as supporting the continued enhancement of our technical infrastructure as it relates to digital analytics.

What you will do:

  • Analyze data across different channels and programs including but not limited to search, display, site, video, email and mobile. Conduct ongoing and ad-hoc analysis to support and drive marketing strategy.
  • Utilize systems and develop relevant dashboards that provide insights and visualization into customer and marketing channel performance relative to KPIs, historical performance, and projections.
  • Work with the executive team on compiling and formatting reports across various channels to understand weekly, monthly, and quarterly business performance.
  • Analyze A/B or multi-variate tests to provide in-depth insights to the marketing team on the test data and understanding of marketing drivers’ effects.
  • Deliver recommendations to marketing team regarding promotions, ad creative, and site improvements for enhanced customer experience and improved revenue stream.
  • Develop deep understanding of industry, company and customer value drivers to conduct performance optimization analysis.
  • Work with Marketing VP and CRM leader in marketing attribution as well as media mix analysis.
  • Work with IT partners to ensure data feeds are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Look for opportunities to automate portions of data collection and integration processes and/or capture data along different stages of the buyer journey.
  • Lead efforts to resolve data quality issues by identifying root-cause errors and presenting potential solutions.
  • Evolve and improve reporting processes and capabilities, with a solid knowledge of marketing objectives and channel activities.
  • Compile and format daily, weekly and monthly reporting consistently across various marketing channels.
  • Maintain and improve the forecast tracking and measurement system.

  • 2+ years of experience in analytics role preferred
  • Proficiency with multiple analytic and database tools common within a marketing organization is a plus (e.g. Google Analytics, Tableau, AdRoll, Adobe Analytics, WebTrends, Facebook or Pinterest Admanager/API etc.).
  • Experience with Tag Management tools a plus (Google Tag Manager, Segment).
  • Experience with statistical computing software such as SAS, R, SPSS a plus.
  • Experience with SQL a plus.
  • Ability to understand key metrics, data structures, and complex data flows to ensure reporting accuracy and relevancy.
  • Ability to maneuver through disparate data sources, and test hypotheses through comprehensive quantitative models.
  • Ability to identify market opportunities and forecast performance within digital marketing channels.
  • Ability to build predictive models and deliver insights that help optimize online and offline marketing campaigns.
  • Interest in leveraging technology to do cutting edge reporting and analysis.
