We're looking for a Director of Public Relations to join our dynamic fast-paced Marketing team. This role will develop strategic, fully integrated and cohesive PR campaigns and marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, create demand and communicate SmileDirectClub values and core messages across multiple media platforms including, but not limited to, local and national editorial, broadcast and event opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development and creation of quarterly and launch specific PR strategies and campaigns 
• Serve as the PR point of contact for the company to handle all communication related works
• Oversee and contribute to daily editorial outreach
• Monitor and explore all inbound editorial requests and inquiries
• Coordinate with in-house counsel and other shareholders to align on PR strategy
• Leverage, build and foster strong national media relationships
• Identify and execute constant-flow of national and local broadcast, editorial and other press opportunities
• Develop and maintain press strategy surrounding SmileShop expansion
• Manage go-to-market press strategy for product launches
• Manage and coordinate quarterly media events with key members of Marketing team
• Support Community Engagement Manager to amplify local events & promotions
• Establish KPI's and analyze metrics to track and report on success of PR initiatives)
• Manage and maintain media reference library and media contact file
• Manage reputation management strategy and contacts across all review and owned media sites
• Coordinate with Creative department to develop press materials for print and the company website
• Run monthly editorial reports and competitive analysis reports, pro-actively working to increase SOV
• Create press recaps for events and campaigns and ensure coverage is effectively communicated internally

It will really make us smile if you have…

•  6+ years of relevant PR experience in healthcare, beauty industry and/or related field
• Knowledge of press release processes and protocols in print, radio, broadcast and all social media
• Possesses a deep list of media relationships and contacts with an emphasis on healthcare, beauty and/or relevant business journals
• Excellent writing, editing, and communications skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strategic thinker and team player with the ability to multi-task and reprioritize quickly
• Working knowledge of insights and analytics tools
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Ability to look at data/numbers to see trends and make recommendations
• Have a finger on the pulse of trends, influencers, art, music, beauty, fashion and media
• A sense of humor and passion for making people smile
