Our Human Capital team is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our rapidly growing organization on a contract basis. You will be responsible managing and processing payroll for our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Process bi-weekly payroll for team members using NetSuite payroll system.
  • Reconcile payroll register and tax reports to payroll transactions for each pay cycle.
  • Manage the following reporting processes: ACA, 401k and EEOC, etc.
  • Supervises a wide range of special payroll projects and payroll audits that may need to be performed on an ongoing basis.
  • Interact with HR, Operations, Finance, Accounting and other key departments to coordinate, process, and ensure accuracy of payroll requests and upload files such as incentives, bonuses, and all other special payment entries.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Working knowledge of NetSuite, Ceridian, Nettime or similar payroll vendor system in a multi-state environment.
  • Advanced PC skills including proficiency in Excel.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processing and Federal and State wage law.
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices.

Requirements:

  • Certified Payroll Professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience running payroll for at least 500 employees.
  • Minimum 2 year degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance or equivalent acquired through work experience. (CPP) certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to run and analyze multiple reports within the NetSuite payroll system or similar payroll vendor system in a multi-state environment.
  • Review and processes W2s, 1099’s and reconciles quarterly tax filings.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, provide exceptional customer service and work independently with confidential material.
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize in a high-volume, fast paced, energetic work environment.
  • Must be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail and have good organizational skills.
