Role:
 
We are looking for a Media Buyer to prepare, purchase and monitor TV, radio, print, out-of-home, digital, and mobile (strong emphasis on broadcast and cable) advertisements. The Media Buyer will be responsible for planning and budgeting the media spend, and posting the buys. The Media Buyer will provide analysis, perspective, strategy planning and execution, and will be responsible for accurate and thorough placement of media schedules. Responsibilities:
 
The Media Buyer is expected to:
 
•  Manage the day-to-day implementation, optimization, and performance of campaign activities including authorizations, budgets, and spend reports.  
•  Negotiate schedules, costs and added value with media vendors.
•  Perform post-buy analysis and verification, and review media vendor invoices for accuracy.
•  Act as primary media rep contact and maintain credible, professional relationships with the media vendors.
•  Utilize available research to assist in station/program/publication selection and cost negotiation.
•  Provide research data and media marketing information as well as strategic analysis of campaigns.  
•  Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, publishers and creative resources to ensure effective implementation of campaigns.
•  Monitor and assess ongoing campaign performance, and provide strategic analysis of campaigns.     
•  Manage time and responsibilities to meet deadlines and expectations.
•  Develop the media strategy and overall direction.
•  Help generate positive placements, while protecting, enhancing, and building awareness of our brand.
•  Work collaboratively with team members to develop and manage media plans across digital, TV and some print.
•  Keep current on general media industry trends and developments.
•  Monitor campaign delivery against established impression goals and KPIs.
•  Conduct optimization of campaigns to ensure performance benchmarks are met.
 
Qualifications:
                 
The successful candidate must be a highly motivated and organized individual, with the capacity to perform in a dynamic environment.  The Media Buyer must also possess the following skill set:
 
• Experience with both traditional and digital media buys
• Experience with Nielsen and Arbitron Ratings and CPP/CPM analysis.
• Proficient understanding of data analysis and market research
• Ability to effectively multitask multiple competing priorities and projects
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Experience managing large budgets in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills
• 3+ years of experience in a Media Buyer role.
• Experience with campaign management/ad serving technology and third party market research tools
• A sense of humor and passion for making people smile
